 PRISM - PRoject Information SysteM

The Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) has improved PRISM to make it easier and more flexible for users!

Back to the top What is PRISM?
PRISM is an automated, grant management system that can be used over the Internet by applicants, sponsors, agencies, legislators, and the public.
What are the benefits of PRISM?

  • Information is at your fingertips.
  • Summary or detailed reports can be printed easily.
  • Applications can be submitted and modified online.
  • The status of applications, contracts, and billings can be viewed quickly.
  • Your information is saved and backed up

PRISM has two modules available to the public through the Internet:

Back to the top PRISM System Requirements

  • Connection to an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
  • If you are behind a firewall, TCP Port 8090 must be open for outbound traffic
  • Dial-up modem or high speed internet access (e.g. T-1 line, cable modem, or DSL)
  • Pentium Class Processor AND one of these operating systems: Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 2000, or Windows XP (sorry, we do not support MACs)
  • 40 MEG hard disk space
  • PRISM screens were designed to be viewed on a monitor with a screen resolution of at least 1024x768. Lower screen resolutions may result in PRISM not displaying properly or formatting errors. For questions about monitor resolution, please see your technical support staff.

Back to the top User Name and Passwords
If you are going to edit data in PRISM you will need a username and password. Please fill out our access request form. If you are only interested in viewing data in PRISM, you will not need a username and password. Just install the application and put a check mark in the Read Only box.

Back to the top To install PRISM, please follow these instructions:

Important: If you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP you will need administrator permissions to install a program on your computer. Home users will probably have this level of access. Business or organizational users, please see your IT support staff for assistance.

(Firefox users, click here and read this first!)

Internet Explorer users:
  1. Install PRISM.
  2. Select Open (or Run) and run the installation. You will get a security warning that the publisher cannot be verified. Just ignore, and click Install.
  3. That's it! Now all you need to do is request your user name and temporary password.
