Nonhighway and Off-Road Vehicle Activities (NOVA) Program News

New NOVA Program Fund Allocation Policy
To help ensure speedy use of NOVA funds, the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board modified the process for distributing funding. Click the link below for details ("Using uncommitted funds-read the proposal"). The board also agreed to award 70 percent of the funds in the first year and 30 percent in the second year.

2008 ORV Noise Enforcement Grants
The Recreation and Conservation Funding Board is offering grants to help government agencies lower the sound of loud off-road vehicles. Grants can be used to pay for sound measuring equipment and related staff. Application Deadline: April 1, 2008. Grants were offered first in 2007 and are being extended into 2008 because all the money was not used. ORV Noise Enforcement Grants
December 17, 2007 was the application deadline for the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board's new grant program intended to help government agencies lower the sound of loud off-road vehicles.
