This dataset contains geographic point data for all projects funded through Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office(RCO) - Recreation and Conservation Funding Board / Salmon Recovery Funding Board. Project data is maintained in PRISM (RCO's PRoject Information SysteM), which contains geographic and descriptive information for thousands of recreation and habitat projects around the state.
RCO's PRISM database was developed to provide comprehensive tracking of management details throughout the life of a project.
The Grant Projects website was developed to provide the most current information about recreation and habitat grant projects around Washington State to the public, state & local agencies, and boating interest groups. The information will be useful for planning purposes, as well as to supplement other complementary geographic data for display and report purposes.
This dataset is for planning and visual display purposes only, and may not have the accuracy necessary for navigational purposes.

RCO staff enter information into RCO's PRISM database system (PRoject Information SysteM). All projects funded through RCO are tracked in PRISM, including applications, funded projects, and completed projects. Both latitude and longitude coordinates and Washington Coordinate System State Plane South (SPS) are tracked for each project site. The web mapping site uses SPS coordinates to plot points on the map in real time.
