The Farmland Preservation Advisory Committee evaluates applications for grants in the Farmland Preservation
category of the larger Washington Widlife and Recreation Program. The committee meets several times a year to advise the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board on which projects to fund. The grants provide funding to acquire development rights on farmland and ensure the land remains available for farming in the future.
