Woodinville to Renovate Sports Field

The City of Woodinville received a check for $75,000 for scoring the highest of 20 projects statewide competing for funding in the improving category of the Youth Athletic Facilities grant program. The city will use the grant to complete the construction of a large, lighted, artificial turf, multi-use sports field that will house four softball and youth baseball fields and two soccer and lacrosse fields. Woodinville will contribute more than $3 million in cash, cash donations, and two grants toward this project. Read the news release.
