Trails, Outdoor Athletics, and Boating

Washington State develops specific plans for trails, outdoor atheltics, and boaing. State law requires special planning for trails and the Nonighway and Off-road Vehicle Activities program. The plan for boating, motorized and nonmotirized, is based on a long-history of recreational boating in the state. The plan for outdoor athletic facilities is the first plan for these types of facilities as the plan is an optional planning requirements in state law but the need for these facilities is on the rise.

Plans and Recommendations

The State Trails Plan and State Athletic Facilities Plan are broad in scope and includes recommendations to support these activities across the state. The RCFB NOVA Plan and RCFB Boating Plan focus on recommendations specifically for the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board.
